Terms of Use

Last updated: December 2026

These terms apply to browsing information, accessing download links, and using tutorials on the V2Ray for Linux website. Please read them before using the content. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

1. Purpose and scope

This site provides introductions, download links, and setup guides for v2rayN, v2rayNG, and v2flyNG. Its content is for educational and informational purposes, helping readers understand proxy protocols, local network settings, and common troubleshooting steps. This is a technical resource site; its name does not imply affiliation with, authorization by, or official representation of any open-source project it covers.

Guides are based on commonly used interfaces and settings and are not professional assurances for any particular device, network, or use case. Menu labels, defaults, and supported features may change with software updates; follow the documentation for your current client. This site does not provide proxy nodes, subscription accounts, or authorization to use remote networks. Downloading a client does not grant access to those services.

2. Lawful use and user responsibilities

When using this site’s materials or related software, comply with the laws and regulations applicable where you are located and to your activities, as well as the lawful rules of device owners, network administrators, and service providers. Do not use this site’s content or related software for unlawful purposes, including unauthorized system access, information theft, distribution of illegal content, or disruption of network services.

You are responsible for confirming that you have the necessary permissions to configure your device and access the resources you intend to reach. Proxy, routing, and TUN settings in managed environments such as workplaces and schools require prior authorization where applicable. The fact that a connection is technically possible does not establish a legal right to access or process data.

Subscription links, node credentials, and configuration files may contain sensitive information. Keep them secure and do not disclose them in public feedback. Before changing system proxy or network routing settings, record the existing configuration. Back up important data and assess the impact before making changes.

3. Third-party software and limitation of liability

The relevant software is provided by its respective open-source projects. Each project determines its own features, release schedule, licensing, and support policies. This site compiles introductions and usage guidance but does not control software behavior, remote service availability, or users’ network environments. We do not guarantee that download links will always be available, that software will work on every device, or that a guide will solve every issue.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, this site is not liable for availability issues, data loss, business interruption, or other indirect losses resulting from software use, configuration changes, service outages, or misunderstandings of the information provided. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits rights you may have under applicable law.

If something goes wrong, stop any action that could make the issue worse, then follow the steps in Troubleshooting. Contact the relevant third-party service through its own support channels about account, billing, or access issues; this site’s guides do not replace that service’s terms.

4. Intellectual property and open-source licenses

The names, marks, code, and other project materials of V2Ray, V2Fly, Xray, and related clients belong to their respective rights holders. These names appear here solely to identify software and explain technical relationships; their inclusion does not imply that the rights holders endorse all content on this site.

Use, modification, and redistribution of software must comply with the open-source licenses of the relevant projects and included components. Open source does not waive attribution, license-notice retention, or other license obligations. Refer to the license files accompanying the version you use for the applicable requirements. These terms grant no additional rights to third-party software or marks.

When quoting original material from this site, credit the source and retain enough context to avoid misrepresenting its technical meaning or project affiliation. Quoting an article does not replace independently checking the software’s license terms.

5. Changes to these terms and feedback

These terms may be updated to reflect changes in the site’s content, the software ecosystem, or legal requirements. The revised text will be published on this page, and the month of the last update will be changed at the top. Unless stated otherwise, changes apply from the date of publication to subsequent use. Check the current terms before using the materials. Changes will not retroactively diminish rights already established under applicable law.

If you have questions about a procedure or need to verify a setting, start with Getting Started and Troubleshooting. When reporting or discussing a technical issue, include the client, operating system, and steps to reproduce it. Remove sensitive information such as subscription URLs and credentials. Matters not covered by these terms are governed by applicable law and the relevant software licenses.
